17:15 Sandown tips: Wolf Of Windlesham, Le Breuil and Zubayr

Old favourite WOLF OF WINDLESHAM returns from a break off a lenient mark of 132 in the closing handicap hurdle of Sandown’s Saturday card.

Information regarding his absence is hard to come by but he’s definitely well handicapped if in the same form as 2016, when he won the opener of this card off a mark of 137.

He’s worth a bet at 12/1.

The other one I like is LE BREUIL at 16/1, as he simply looks too big a price after bouncing back from a disappointing Cheltenham with a fairly comfortable win at Fakenham, for which he is up 4lb.

That still seems very workable and I’d expect him to be involved at the sharp end.

Finally, I can’t let ZUBAYR go off unbacked at a huge looking 28/1 in the same race, as he’s not been running too badly this season and is 1lb lower than he was when running an excellent second in the Scottish Champion Hurdle last year.

With a 7lb claimer on his back he could be thrown in and go far better than the price suggests.

Soft ground is the only negative, but it’s not too bad at the moment and if the rain did come I’m sure trainer Nicholls would withdraw.
