Delta Work is all the rage for the Flogas Novices’ Chase on Leopardstown’s Sunday card but I’m not sure he has the best form in the race, despite it being franked again on Saturday.
La Bague Au Roi won the Grade 1 at Kempton at Christmas and I do think that’s the best form on offer, but her 2/1 price is fair at best.
She’s going to run a big race because she jumps and stays so well, but I think the clear value is HARDLINE whose beating of Getabird last time out shouldn’t be underestimated.
His collateral form with Us And Them says he’s just as good as Le Richebourg, who ties in so closely with the favourite here, so 10/1 looks a big price.
He has to prove he stays but that doesn’t look to be unlikely, and he has the pace to go any gallop here so I can see him being involved in the finish at least.
