1pt win At Fishers Cross @9/2, 14:05 Haydock

Reve De Sivola looks up against it trying to give 8lbs away on heavy ground in this Grade 2 stayers’ hurdle.

He ran a blinder behind Thistlecrack at his favourite track – Ascot – earlier in the season, before reconfirming his dislike for fences when fifth last month here at Haydock.

Deputy Dan was behind at Ascot and has twelve lengths to make up, so is easy to rule out.

50/1 Foxcub looks out of his depth and offers nothing on form grounds, and Savello looks out of his depth at this level.

One Track Mind is second-favourite and looks dangerous after an all-out win at Newbury, but might find the heavy ground and longer trip a struggle against established Grade-1 stayers.

One who fits that bill is AT FISHERS CROSS, who put in an encouraging seasonal debut behind World Hurdle second-favourite Alpha Des Obeaux on terrible ground at Gowran.

He’s finished fourth and third in the past two World Hurdles and won two Grade 1 hurdles as a novice.

Though he’s not really lived up to the promise of his novice days, those championship runs served as a reminder to his class and he has plenty of form over the favourite.

It was two seasons ago that he finished a good eight lengths in front of Reve De Sivola in the Cleeve Hurdle after the latter had won the Long Walk at Newbury, and he had him a long way behind in last season’s World Hurdle.

A year younger, after a promising seasonal debut and with 8lbs taken off, you’d really fancy his chances of finishing in front again at 9/2, so he’s taken to return to winning ways.
