5f Betfair Each Way Edge Be Friendly Handicap (Class 2)
There looks to be a very interesting runner in the shape of CAME FROM THE DARK in the Each Way Edge Handicap at 4pm at Haydock.
Came From The Dark represents a lightly-raced son of Dark Angel at the age of four who could still have some progress in him. He produced two hugely improved efforts at the back end of his three-year-old season over this course and distance before just being denied consecutive wins at Ascot with both runs on soft ground.
His seasonal opener at York looked like he needed the run when finishing down the field. That was off a 319-day break so he should strip fitter with the return to a soft surface in his favour. 7/1 looks an nice price with the Oisin Murphy / Ed Walker combo producing the goods this season.
