As races go, this is wide open. I wouldn’t want to put you off backing Manuela De Vega or Pista but it’s difficult to argue either should be any shorter in the betting as heavy ground is a market leveller. The one I like at the prices is EBAIYRA at 7/1. She stayed on from the back for 6th in the French Oaks and wasn’t beaten far by proper Group One 10f horses with more pace. This is four furlongs longer in bad ground so pace won’t be the deciding factor here. She won her next start on bad ground at Deauville in a much weaker race but did it easily, and there are enough signs she’ll handle conditions and stay the trip, given her dam won this race too.
