Skardu returns from a break and has Group One aspirations for the rest of the season, so today might be a day to try and get him beat as a short-priced favourite in a small field. Duke Of Hazzard loves Goodwood and is the obvious one to take him on with, but his Group Three win here recently should be lesser form than the fourth place managed by HAPPY POWER in the Sussex Stakes behind Circus Maximus and the winner Too Darn Hot. Faster going is a concern, but you would trust he would be withdrawn if they genuinely feared it, and 6/1 seems very big for a horse with such clear form claims.
