1pt win Jonbon @11/2, 13:30 Cheltenham, Tuesday

I’m not sure anyone can confidently pick between the favourites here as the top three look good enough to win Supremes of years gone by. Constitution Hill looks rocket fuelled and settles and jumps like a pro, while Dysart Dynamo has been devastating from the front. They occupy the mind’s eye of punters but JONBON has been my long term fancy for this ever since he bolted up in his maiden – and he’s twice the price. His Haydock run was a sprint finish on bad ground so I’m not having the winning margin being underwhelming. His overall form stacks up better than his stablemate Constitution Hill’s – with the line through Colonel Mustard putting him within reach of Ballymore favourite Sir Gerhard and arguably top of the pile – so I can’t see why the other two should be shorter. Jonbon jumps and travels beautifully and appears to have plenty of pace, so he certainly has the tools to cope with the free going Dysart Dynamo should he make this a brutal test, which feels the most likely run of the race.
