Cloak Of Spirits drops in company to a Group 3, but she’s starting to look a bit more exposed and could be vulnerable to some of her lightly-raced rivals here.
Foorat has a magnificent looking pedigree by Dubawi out of Nahrain. She won pretty impressively on her first two starts in novice affairs. Both of those were on the all-weather so she has to convert that to turf and Foorat’s well-beaten opposition in those events haven’t exactly boosted the look of the form.
Instead, I am going to take a chance on LOVE AND THUNDER, for the John Gosden, Frankie Dettori combination. This daughter of Siyouni raced over in France for Andre Fabre on her sole start last season, going down by a nose to a subsequent Group 2 runner-up.
Love And Thunder’s first start for Gosden was an eased down winning performance over this 1m trip on similar going conditions at Newbury. Love And Thunder won very nicely, going away from lesser opposition when pushed out by Dettori and with only two starts to her name, she is entitled to improve significantly.
She’s worth chancing at 6/1 given she’s as unexposed as the favourite who looks too short in the betting.
