There is some nice racing over at Newmarket, but one that stands out over at Haydock is MILLTOWN STAR for Mick Channon in a handicap.
The Close Brothers is often won by three-year-olds and he remains unexposed having shaped pretty well on his first two starts of the season over 7f.
Milltown Star won a listed race over in France, beating a good pattern-level performer in Ellerslie Lace, when there was plenty of cut in the ground so the conditions should suit.
The step back up to a mile could also bring out more improvement in this colt who finished third on his only attempt over it so Milltown Star is worth chancing at 8/1 in what looks an open race where the other three-year-old Danyah is 5/2.
