5f Derrinstown Stud Flying Five Stakes (Group 1) (Breeders’ Cup Challenge Race)

2019 Prix De L’Abbaye winner Glass Slippers sets the standard here as the only Group 1 winner in the Flying Five stakes. That tells you all you need to know about this race with it being wide open without having much Group 1 pedigree.

In the five furlong division all horses need to be compared to the best around, Battash. QUE AMORO got within a length of Battash in the Nunthorpe last month putting in her best display yet over the minimum trip.

Que Amoro is progressing well and has clocked up some very fast times during her career so far. The ground also looks to be drying up tomorrow and should be close to her favoured good ground, having not raced on anything worse than that going.

Michael Dods has had some cracking female sprinters over the years that have done well over in Ireland with the likes of Mabs Cross and Mecca’s Angel. The Que Amoro might be another and if she can reproduce that Nunthorpe form she is the one they have to beat.
