SAIYDABAD has strong claims here as an improving three-year-old available at 6/1. If it were to become heavy ground it wouldn’t suit, but I don’t see many in this race that want a bog and the rain isn’t forecast until after the race. While he didn’t stay behind Hurricane Lane in the Grand Prix de Paris, he was a good third behind St Mark’s Basilica in the French Derby and has won all four other starts, most recently when cosily landing a Group Three over this course and distance. The favourite has a Group Two penalty and the weight for age allowances give the three year olds a chance against some moderate older horses.
