Flooring Porter was much the best at Cheltenham for the second year running but Aintree is an altogether different test and his exertions might level the playing field – he was very disappointing at Punchestown last year. THYME HILL won this last year with the caveat that he missed Cheltenham and arrived fresh, but arrives this time with a good second to the favourite in the Stayers’ Hurdle. He’s the clear form pick if you want to take on the fav as Champ has put two very unconvincing displays in since December and the rest look like rags. 11/4 seems well worth a go.
