With the withdrawal of Fillies’ Mile winner Inspiral and impressive Leopardstown trial winner Homeless Songs, this has the shape of an excellent betting heat. Tenebrism is a Group One winning sprinter at Newmarket, but strides like a sprinter and is sired by a sprinter. She’s easy to take on at the prices with stamina the largest stone thrown at her, but her form doesn’t exactly stack up all that impressively either. DISCOVERIES ticks all the boxes besides Newmarket form. Her two big sisters both won Group Ones as over a mile as three-year-olds but neither achieved Group One success at two like she did. She’s getting her favoured fast ground and I’d have her favourite – which she isn’t. With a near identical profile it’s hard to pass up TUESDAY too as just a short head separated the two in a maiden and her full sisters were the multiple Group One winner Minding, who too this race en route to Oaks success back in 2016, and last year’s Irish Oaks winner Empress Josephine. She’s the only daughter of the late great Galileo in the field and let’s not forget he sired four of the previous six winners.
