2pts win Angel's Hideaway @4/1, 13:50 Ascot, Saturday

ANGEL’S HIDEAWAY looks the form horse in the opener on Ascot’s Saturday card, and 4/1 looks to have underestimated her chance.

Ahead of her in the market are an impressive maiden winner in Scintilating and a Listed winner Royal Intervention, who looks very short at sub-2/1 – they both do.

The ground is difficult to predict as, after a long dry spell, there was rain at the end of racing on Friday and the potential for more on Saturday, but I have a suspicion that any cut in the ground would suit Angel’s Hideaway given her pedigree.

By Dark Angel, she should be versatile whatever the weather, as she’s already achieved a high level of form on fast ground.

There are others in the race but it’s difficult to see why they should win, with Nicki’s Angel the only tempter, and the selection may not need to improve to win this if holding her form, so she’s a confident selection.
