Whirl dominates this market and rightly so after beating Arc favourite Kalpana last time out. She will be very tough to beat but anything can happen at Goodwood and I think Coronation Stakes winner CERCENE deserves to be a lot closer in the market. She’s looked like she’ll relish a step up in trip and is completely unexposed as a middle distance horse. Her Group One win was no fluke as she beat a French Guineas winner and the subsequent Falmouth Stakes second. It’s not too farfetched to think that form could be the equal of the favourites and she’s just a very good value price at 8/1 in a small field.
