ESTRANGE missed the Arc where she would have had a real chance. Her Yorkshire Oaks defeat by Minnie Hauk has worked out very well yet she clearly ran below par there on fast ground. It’ll be considerably less quick this time round and she arrives here much fresher than many of her opponents. She’s still got bundles of scope to outclass this field – especially given the chief form threat Kalpana is running here as an afterthought and must have had a tough race in the Arc. WAARDAH is the perfect profile if you like backing unexposed improvers – and I do. She’s also fresh and her trainer Owen Burrows always deserves respect in Group Ones. They clearly think she’s up to this.
