7f Coral Vintage Stakes (Group 2) (Class 1) (2yo)
I thought HUMIDITY was one of the more impressive two-year-old performance at Royal Ascot and that sets the standard. He’s as big as 5/1 on the Exchange and that’s got to be a good bet regardless of opposition. He’s uncomplicated, professional, unbeaten, and on both his career starts has broken like a sprinter, which bodes well for him overcoming a wide draw. The O’Brien horse may end up top class but he hasn’t proved it yet and was very much second string on his debut, which is definitely a red flag. The rest are harder to make a case for but I do feel obliged to take a small stake on MORRIS DANCER who runs for a yard that don’t tilt at windmills. He was well beaten by Humidity on debut but won well last time, which was back in May, and he’s obviously improved since and working well to be entered in a Group Two. At 20/1 he feels a very live player.
