Course and distance winner, HURRICANE BAY appears to have been overlooked in what is a fairly weak handicap chase over at Doncaster. Favourite Docpickedme is a decent yardstick, but is unreliable and is therefore an extremely short price at 9/4.
Hurricane Bay is a fairly lightly-raced nine-year-old who ran well on his reapearrance run over this track. That represented his first start after a wind operation and he just appeared to get tired behind an unexposed chaser in Moon Rocket. That run might have been needed and is easily something that Hurricane Bay could build on and with excellent form at the course.
There is a lot of interest around Prince Zaltar since his move to the Skelton yard but he is hardly unexposed and therefore needs a career pb. Alcedo is also feared as he may still be on the upgrade, but had a hard race two weeks ago and has yet to see out a three mile trip.
