The ground is going to be very testing at Leopardstown and that could suit both of our selections here. KINTURK KALANISI ran an absolute blinder in the Paddy Power Chase leading from the front before just getting collared on the run in. He is yet to taste victory over fences and could be suited by this drop down in trip to 2m 5f as he may quite see out the three mile trip that well. He has run some cracking runs in defeat and has a win on heavy ground on his CV.
Willie Mullins had a huge contingent in this event and whilst Ile Atlantique has the class edge in this, he isn’t the most reliable. O’MOORE PARK is a point-to-point winner but has been running really quite well in chases this season. He went the widest way around and stayed on pretty well in the Paddy Power Chase to finish fifth. He hasn’t had that many opportunities to race on really testing ground over fences, but put in some of his best hurdling displays when the mud was flying. A mark of 141 may not be beyond him and odds of 18/1, he feels like a decent value bet in this race as he should prefer the slightly slower pace that they will go here.
