MARHABA GHAIYYATH was desperately unlucky not to win a competition three-year-old handicap at Glorious Goodwood.
But the manner of his performance in the circumstances must mean he is some animal. He sweated up significantly beforehand, missed the break, raced-wide and in last place.
But the turn-of-foot he showed to go from nearly last to first was impressive before just getting done on the line by a potentially smart type from Wathnan Racing. The third from that handicap has since won very well and Marhaba Ghaiyyath’s form has got a very solid look to it so its only a matter of time that he gets his head in front despite a 7lbs rise.
