2m1f (New) JCB Triumph Trial Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 2) (Registered As The Finesse) (GBB Race) (Class 1) (4yo)
Maestro Conti and Minella Yoga look like nice prospects and I prefer the latter out of the two based on what they have done so far in their careers. both very inexperienced and are yet to tackle soft ground which could be a leveller on Trials day at Cheltenham.
There are plenty of unexposed players in here so it could pay to side with some of the more forward looking horses who may be ahead at this early stage of their careers.
TENTER LE TOUT‘s win at Chepstow is being underestimated in the market. She has won without coming off the bridle on both of her first two starts on quick ground. Her trainer believes she will like the soft ground better which begs the question as to how good she could be if she has won both her first races on a less suitable surface. The form of her Chepstow race can certainly be questioned with the market principals underperforming and the race sort of falling apart for her, however the second in the race won by 12 lengths earlier in the week so it has some substance to it. I thought she benefitted from a fast gallop and stayed the course really well which could suit in a race where she receives weight and is bound to be run at a fast pace.
I will also take a big chance on LA LUNA ARTISTA who looked pretty decent on her first start. It’s hard to make much from the bare look of the form of that race but she is unbeaten having been pushed out to win a bumper and seemed to dominate in her first hurdles contest quite impressively. La Luna Artista looked very professional in her work and seems to be rated highly be her connections. At odds of 20/1, she could outrun them significantly and is worth a play in a race that is much more competitive than the market suggests.
1pt win Tenter Le Tout @10/1, 1pt win La Luna Artista @20/1, 12:40 Cheltenham, Saturday
