2m2f Irish Stallion Farms EBF Paddy Mullins Mares Handicap Hurdle (Grade B) (4yo+)

A very hot looking renewal of this Mares Handicap hurdle. Jeremys Flame brings Grade 1 Novice form into this with a Tolworth second behind leading Supreme Novice contender, Fiddlerontheroof.

Jeremys Flame is a general 5/1 and looks a big threat. But this will be the first time she has had to encounter the hustle-and-bustle of a large big-field handicap like this so she has plenty to overcome on her opening handicap mark.

Willie Mullins saddles a third of the field in search of this big price. Drury and Concertista could both go well, but I like the look of MY SISTER SARAH at odds of 20/1. She was well-fancied prior to the Mares Novice Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival last season. But the pick of Ruby Walsh finished no better than midfield.

She showed her qualities by finishing close in a handicap after Cheltenham before winning a similar-level contest at Punchestown in a field of 23 runners to cap off the season.

Both of My Sister Sarah’s starts as a second-season hurdler have been seen her run into some top-performers. She was a half-length second to her talented stablemate Elfile on her first start before finishing 4/8 last time out in a Grade 3 won by Stormy Ireland (Elfile second) over a 2m 4f mile trip, tiring late on.

All of her career best performances have been on better going, so the drying ground and the booking of a 7lb claimer should be a big help to her in outrunning her odds.
