7f Jersey Stakes (Group 3) (Class 1) (3yo)
I form of MARVELMAN has a very solid look to it with him finishing just behind Irish 2000 Guineas second Cosmic Year in a 7f Listed race at Newmarket. He had recent winner, Diego Ventura behind and in fourth was La Botte who finished second by a neck in the Britannia Stakes yesterday. The time before that Marvelman put in a brilliant run on the all-weather after two decent seconds on heavy ground which wouldn’t have suited this son of Invincible Spirit. I can see him running a huge race.
We are also going to take a chance on the progressive CALIFORNIA DREAMER who has run two career bests as a three-year-old with her second in the Irish 1000 Guineas and fourth in a Group 3 both at The Curragh. California Dreamer had Group 1 winner Cercene in behind in the 1000 Guineas and close in front respectively in both contests. There is additional substance to that Group 3 at The Curragh with Ribbledale winner Garden Of Eden back in sixth so there is plenty of substance to her form to suggest she should be hugely competitive in this Group 3.
