2m2f (Row) Club Godolphin Cesarewitch Handicap (Heritage Handicap) (Class 2) (3yo+)
I’ve seen much stronger renewals of this race in the past so I’d say the Irish staying Handicap form will be lightyears ahead of the British. The top two in the market both have unexposed profiles off long breaks, but could both be victims of the bounce factor.
SIXANDAHALF has already got a win at Newmarket this season and this lightly raced staying filly has obvious credentials for this race having finished 3rd in the Irish equivalent two weeks ago. That form looks rock-solid and if that race hasn’t taken too much out of her then I fully expect her to run a huge race here.
Whilst he is yet to put up a big flat performance for his trainer, NDAAWI looks like he is being overlooked in the market for his shrewd trainer Gordon Elliott. Elliott was unlucky with Pied Piper last year and Ndaawi has got plenty of solid big field handicap form and ran a blinder at the Galway Festival last time out when second to Nurburgring in a handicap hurdle. He has gone under the radar here and could be a sneaky one off this handicap mark for the yard and his mount of Jamie Spencer.
1pt win Sixandahalf @8/1, 1pt win Ndaawi @14/1, 15:40 Newmarket, Saturday
