Teahupoo goes in search of his second Stayers Hurdle in a row, but last years renewal was poor and he got his favoured soft ground. The ground is quickerthis week and Teahupoo could be vulnerable to an improver on it.
THE WALLPARK has got Paisley Park vibes about him. He has been progressing up the handicap in lower graded hurdles races but picked up a fine win over course and distance in October on good ground when staying on best of a decent field. His first attempt in a Grade 1 at Ascot in the Long Walk Hurdle wasn’t run to suit when finishing fourth but he still posted the fasted sectionals at the finish.
The Wallpark has been put away ever since and he looks just the type to upset the short priced favourite.
The other potential improver at this trip is LUCKY PLACE who has been terrier-like in his two Grade 2 successes this season including one over the New Course when he had Champion Hurdle winner, Golden Ace back in third.
Lucky Place is yet to try this trip, but he has shown that he stays very well over 2.5 miles and he could continue to improve for the step up in distance here.
I like both of them against the fav in what looks a renewal full of exposed Stayers in the main.
