The top two set a decent standard here but have to give quite a bit of weight away to WHISTLE STOP TOUR who I fancied to run a big race in the Ultima before getting badly hampered by a faller early on which then put him on the back foot before being pulled up.
The Lucinda Russell inmate was entered and a short price for the Scottish National on the same card so it’s intriguing that she has opted to run her lightly-raced novice here instead.
Whistle Stop Tour had looked hugely progressive prior to his run at the Cheltenham Festival and this unexposed stayer can run a blinder here.
