Scenes yesterday as our three tips for the Epsom Derby finished 1st, 2nd and 5th, with the winner, Wings Of Eagles, drifting to a whopping starting price of 40/1.
We were expecting Aidan O’Brien’s Cliffs Of Moher to be the one to beat, and he put up a mighty performance to come from off the pace to claim the challenge of Cracksman in the final furlong.
He looked like he had things sewn up and we were already reaching for the champagne, celebrating back-to-back Derby wins, but little known jockey Paddy Beggy was weaving through back-pedaling traffic from way off the pace and, once in the clear, absolutely flew past the leaders in the dying strides to win with real authority at a massive price.
Epsom went silent; we went mad.
Our ante-post pick Benbatl also ran a massive race after recovering from a tardy start, where he ended up last for all but the final furlongs, to swoop past the field to finish an eye-catching fifth.
Wings Of Eagles slots into number two as our second biggest winner to date, behind Arabian Queen who won the Juddmonte International when tipped at 100/1 two summers ago.
We’ve been in red-hot form this year, winning the Grand National at 14/1, the Scottish National at 12/1, the Dubai Turf at 25/1, the Aintree Bowl at 18/1 and plenty more at single-digit odds.
If you’ve enjoyed a profitable spring and start to summer we’d really appreciate it if you could spread the word.
We rely on word of mouth to promote the website, so please recommend us to your mates as subscriptions are free.
We have also launched a second URL http://twopoints.win/ to make things a little easier – almost as easy as winning the Derby!
