2m (Winter) Coral Adonis Juvenile Hurdle (Grade 2) (GBB Race) (Class 1) (4yo)
Pleasant Man slots into the could be anything category but has a very stiff introduction to Hurdles here, as Knights Salute and IMPULSIVE ONE represent the best British juvenile form this season. I prefer the latter as an each-way bet to nothing as I’m certain he’ll be involved in the finish, and I don’t think there’s much at all between him and the favourite, who gave him weight and a beating at their last Kempton meeting. The selection is still improving and flat speed tracks like this will show his best form.
1pt each-way Impulsive One @6/1, 13:50 Kempton, Saturday (1-4, 1/5)
2m5f (Winter) Play Coral ‘Racing-Super-Series’ For Free Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) (4yo+ 0-140)
It’s easy enough to put a line through most of this field except HERBIERS and Haafapiece who have similar profiles in they’ve found improvement for stepping up in trip this season. I prefer the younger legs of the former who is more unexposed as a five-year-old that is 1/1 from his sole try over two miles. Two mile form will be a help around speedy Kempton and his price is very backable at the 6/1 mark.
1pt win Herbiers @6/1, 16:10 Kempton, Saturday
