2m Holden Plant Rentals Novice Handicap Hurdle
A fiendishly competitive handicap hurdle over at Leopardstown on Boxing Day to pick through. I am going to take a chance on MRS MILNER continuing her progress on just her fourth career start.
Her first hurdles start under rules saw Mrs Milner come a respectable 5/17 behind a decent-type from the Willie Mullins stable. But she improved drastically for that run reversing the form with the second in her next start by twenty lengths going away to win by five under a hands and heels ride against one of Joseph O’Brien’s.
That was on yielding-soft ground over two miles and there is every chance this daughter of Flemensfirth can continue her good progress on her opening handicap start. Her mark of 116 seems reasonable for that success. She gets the assistance of a 5lb claimer and a 3lb weight-for-age allowance against several more exposed runners in this which should also help her cause.
At 14/1, she remains unexposed, and can go well here for Paul Nolan.
1pt each-way Mrs Milner @14/1, 13:45 Leopardstown, Thursday (1-5 places, 1/5 odds with Skybet)
