At 14/1, William Haggis’s BESHARAH has to be backed in the French 1000 Guineas at Deauville.
She was a high-class two-year-old and wasn’t at all disgraced on her seasonal reappearance behind Marenko at Chelmsford – a race only run on the all-weather due to Newbury having to abandon their Guineas Trials card.
She was third on the day, her seasonal debut, and did her best work in the final furlong so the step up to a mile should suit.
Presuming she’s sharper for the run, she should have a good chance on her favoured soft ground.
With Belgian ace Christophe Soumillon booked and a decent draw in stall six, she looks overpriced at 14/1 and well worth a bet.
