We’re hoping it’s third time lucky for William Haggis’s talented filly BESHARAH at York today.
She’s twice been advised here at big prices this season and, though those bets have yielded exactly nothing, today’s Group Three assignment looks much more winnable.
She’s also been dropped in trip from a mile to six furlongs, and today’s course and distance are the same as her Lowther Stakes victory last season – which was a highly compeitive race featuring yesterday’s runaway Newmarket winner Lumiere, the Group One Commonwealth Cup winner Quiet Reflection, and Easton Angel, twice a winner this season.
That form confirms her talent, and while she hasn’t so far appeared to have trained on from two to three, a repeat of anything like that form today would be plenty good enough at this level.
7/2 is a perfectly backable price worth taking at a track she clearly likes.
1pt win Besharah @7/2, 16:00 York, Friday
