1m2f (1m1f212y) Prince Of Wales’s Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (Class 1) (4yo+)
Auguste Rodin is just one of those favourites you can always take on as he has a habit of not turning up in his races, which include last year’s King George at Ascot. Inspiral has the same habit, and though both could easily win this if at their best, this is a market to look elsewhere. BLUE ROSE CEN is surely the answer at 12/1 as I take the opinion she lost her form a bit after dual classic successes last spring, and you can put a line through her reappearance where she was denied a clear run and was conceding race fitness. She’s absolutely fine on good-to-firm ground as Timeform called it that way for both her Group One wins in the Opera and French Oaks, and a return to top form would make her a very dangerous 12/1 shot. She probably has to improve a couple of pounds to win this but she’s only four and her best form could be good enough on its own.
