This looks competitive but BUTCH looks ideally suited for 3m on heavy ground around Cheltenham. He’s proven at the course, has a grabby action and battles hard in a finish so should run to form. He’s notched two novice hurdle successes this season, smashing the 130 rated Grade 2 placed Destroytheevidence 13l at Southwell, and steps back into handicap company after placing a neck second off 120 in his only other handicap last year. Connections say he was suffering with stomach ulcers and ringworm last year so I don’t think that reflects his talent. He’s ticking a lot of boxes.
