With a profitable flat season over until the spring, we’re turning to Wincanton and specifically COEUR DE LION to get our jumps season of to a big start.
Race fit after placing second in the Cesarewitch trial at Newmarket and putting in a good performance in third at York – both on the flat – the 10lb claim his jockey receives gives him an outstanding chance at the weights for the feature race.
Opposition lack match fitness and are hardly top-class, so with Alan King’s son of Derby winner Pour Moi – the same sire as our 40/1 Derby winner Wings Of Eagles – proven on all ground, he can win this.
