This race sets up perfectly for FAVOUR AND FORTUNE off 138 as he gets a nice racing weight thanks to Rubaud at the top giving away 10lb. Alan King’s classy hurdler was beaten 9l in the Supreme on heavy ground and went down 3l to the 148 rated Jango Baie in a Grade 1 at Christmas, also on heavy. He’s been racing almost exclusively on bad ground and I suspect that’s held him back from showing his very best. 6/1 is generous odds for a horse that could be well ahead of the handicapper.
