2m (Old) Johnny Henderson Grand Annual Challenge Cup Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap) (GBB Race) (Class 1) (5yo+)
Look, I know he’s quite short, and I know I’ve tipped him twice before. But I just don’t see any reason not to be on FINAL ORDERS again. Yes, he continues to go up the handicap and yes, his task keeps getting harder and harder, but he just seems to be thriving and when a horse is in form, I think you just need to keep backing him until he loses.
I can find so many holes in horses in this race, but I can’t find any holes in this son of Camelot as he jumps well, stays well and can go on all sorts of ground. I’d be loath to say he has hit the limit in his handicap mark and that’s why he is a must bet in a race that is filled with a load of shite.
The other one I am going to get onside is THIRD TIME LUCKI, he has been highly tried for the Skeltons and has fallen down the handicap quite considerably as he not quite up to the top class graded races. Third Time Lucki bounced back to form in a big way last time at Sandown when he picked up a handicap with considerable ease. He’s had two wins on the Old course and he has the back class to go close in this race.
Odds of 11/1 seem pretty interesting for a horse that seems to finally be maturing as a chaser and with his sights lowered to handicap level, he can go close here as well.
