2m4½f (2m4f127y) (New) TrustATrader Plate Handicap Chase (Premier Handicap) (GBB Race) (Class 1) (5yo+)
Jagwar is all the rage but he has to prove as effective with a 7lb rise in deeper waters. I like two in this race. JORDANS has some classy Grade 1 novice chasing form behind Impaire Et Passe and is only six, making his handicap debut. Joseph O’Brien’s horses have been running well and this step up in trip should suit. He appeals as a very live 9/1 chance. The other one I like is PATH D’OROUX who steps up in trip for the first time and has excellent Cheltenham form. He was a good third in last year’s Grand Annual and his form ties in with all the placed horses in this year’s Grand Annual too. He’s trying something new and 14/1 underestimates him.
1pt win Jordans @9/1, 1pt win Path D’Oroux @14/1, 16:40 Cheltenham Festival, Thursday
