No longer a Grade 1 so a few in here carry penalties, including the classy Scriptwriter who concedes 5lb to the Irish favourite, who has every chance. I’m happy to swing at one at bigger prices, as Alan King’s SPARTAN ARMY looks well suited to this test whether the rain comes or not. 9/1 is a lovely price to have a go and I can see him going off a good deal shorter, given King thinks highly of him.
