2m4f Lawlor’s Of Naas Novice Hurdle (Grade 1) (5yo+)
On balance THE YELLOW CLAY is the play here as he’s 3/3 over hurdles and progressed as a bumper horse to finish a strong second in the Punchestown Champion Bumper, where Cheltenham bumper winner Jasmine De Vaux was well beaten and ran flat. Jasmine De Vaux did not take to hurdles too well on debut despite the form of his maiden being strong, and I want to take him on. The Yellow Clay is very solid. He stays and jumps and looks very reliable to run his race. You could knock the form of his Grade 2 win last time out but it was run at a crawl with finishing speeds of 117% important caveats to the bare form. 3/1 is a very fair price.
