Captain Teague can get straight in the bin here. I’m disappointed WILLMOUNT runs here as I’ve backed him for the Supreme but I do think he’s a Grade 1 horse and this trip should be well within his compass given his pointing background. He’s got that perfect record of a point, two bumpers and a maiden hurdle and is sired by a producer of top notchers. If he’s the horse I think he could be then he really ought to be winning this and quotes of 9/4 could be very generous. Johnnywho is the obvious danger as his point defeat of Hermes Allen reads very well and he’s yet to be seen off the bridle, but the ground is only good to soft at Newbury and speed will be needed today.
