The Prix De La Foret appears sewn-up by Limato, who looks unstoppable in claiming this prize at the second attempt. There are no challengers with the quality of the likes of Make Believe, or Mecca’s Angel to take him on this time, and unless the ground goes soft, he is the one to beat and an obvious addition to any accumulator bets.

However, there could be some each-way value in the shape of a progressive three-year-old from the yard of Andre Fabre.

JIMMY TWO TIMES finished a head behind sprinting superstar Quiet Reflection on this track on his first start of the season, a precursor to what was an average performance behind The Ghurka in the French Guineas, where the mile might have stretched him.

He has since markedly improved his form to claim two impressive wins in a Listed contest and latterly a Group 3 at Deauville, beating a decent yardstick in Jallota comfortably in to second.

His best run to date was his last one, and represented a step up to Group 1 racing in the Prix Maurice De Gheest won by Signs Of Blessing.

Jimmy Two Times got no sort of cover drawn out wide, and was a good 10 lengths or so off-the-pace at the halfway point.

He quickened up fairly smartly and stayed on in to third ahead of Dutch Connection, and the re-opposing Suedois (who also looks set to go well), to cut down the deficit to 1.5l, which looks a really strong effort behind the winner.

Jimmy Two Times is currently a best priced 14/1 and a likely improver for trainer Fabre. The rest of the field lacks depth and is fairly exposed, so we are backing him to run a big race.
