Kyprios is a magnificant stayer on his day, but there has to be a lot of concerns around his general wellbeing for this race with his year-long layoff and from some of the comments coming out of the yard which appear to be happy for him to just take his chance.
Stablemate, Emily Dickinson is a stout stayer, but she much prefers cut in the ground. Yashin might be a little out of his depth here although ran a good race in the Ebor a couple of weeks ago. Dawn Rising likes this type of ground, but may need a longer trip so all roads point to ELDAR ELDAROV to complete the English and Irish St Legere double one year on from his Doncaster success.
Eldar Eldarov has proven to put in his best performances over this distance and he should have no problems with the going condition. He has been lightly-raced this season and has only put in the one below-par run over 2.5 miles at Royal Ascot.
This race looks set-up nicely for him and I am prepared to chance him against the favourite.
