Champion Bumper winner Facile Vega is all the rage as the 2/11 favourite and has looked brilliant to date. I’m not really interested in taking him on – although it’s tempting! – and there looks to be some value in the market to finish second. ARCTIC BRESIL cost over €300k and carries a fair reputation himself. He was the first name of De Bromhead’s tongue when discussing his up and coming horses and you’d fancy him to be a good one. By the same sire as Constitution Hill, he beat the second favourite here in a point-to-point and really ought to be second favourite. I like the 3/1 in the without Facile Vega market and will be keeping a keen eye on the Exchange to see if anyone’s got the balls to lay me a big price to upset the favourite.
