I’m keen to take on Live In The Dream, the surprise Nunthorpe winner, purely on the grounds the European 5f division is poor at the moment and he was beaten on his first start in America. On balance that was a good run conceding weight over a slightly longer trip, but there are plenty of options to choose from on the home team at bigger prices. Last year’s winner CARAVEL is a rock solid alternative at 6/1. She made all last year and has been given a plum draw in stall three to go back to back. I can easily forgive her last two starts on account of softer going and conceding 6lb last time out, and she’s sure to go close again.
