This doesn’t look the deepest race as there are a fair few older, exposed handicappers and only two six-year-olds. The one I want to be in is the top-weight ELDORADO ALLEN for Colin Tizzard. He looks the yard’s first string based on jockey bookings and makes his handicap debut off a mark of 145 with this being just his third run in the UK. He was desperately unlucky when unseating at the first as the odds-on favourite at Aintree in the spring, but had earned that skinny price by blitzing a decent maiden hurdle field over this course and distance on his debut. That run was after nearly a year off the track, which gives encouragement that he can go well fresh again. I’d have him ahead of a couple of the recent winners that are trading shorter than him in the market, so he rates a good bet.
