This presents the perfect opportunity for the mare INSINUENDO to beat Luxembourg and ABOVE THE CURVE given she’s got race fitness on side – she won a few weeks ago at this course – and only has the narrowest of margins to reverse with both named horses who beat her under a length last season. Luxembourg and Above The Curve both had three-year-old allowances last year and Luxembourg actually has to give the two selections 7lb this time – a 12lb swing with Insinuendo for him to overcome. Reasons for Insinuendo reversing with Above The Curve are less solid, though, and at 4/1 with good course form and a very good record fresh, she’s worth more than a saver.
