At first glance this race looks poor and it’s difficult to latch onto anything, but when viewing it as an Arc trial the gelded IRESINE, not eligible to run in the Arc, won’t be concerned by having a hard race and will want to be winning this. Any horse good enough to rack up a winning spree of seven last season is a good horse, and many of those successes came with cut in the ground, so it’s easy enough to put a line through his recent Deauville defeat where the ground was fast. He’s third favourite at 9/2 in a six runner race with no stand out, so I’m having a go.
