6f Platinum Jubilee Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series) (Class 1) (4yo+)
I can’t remember the last time I saw a 27 runner Group One so this is an excellent race. There’s international flavour with a couple of Aussies, an American and a Japanese horse making up a strong raiding party, but I’m betting this will stay with the home team. SACRED is the one I can’t rule out as she loves fast ground and I’ve no concerns she has the speed for a stiff 6f as she was a fast juvenile. Her Ascot form is very good too, and she goes particularly well fresh so there’s a lot in her favour from a good draw. The key to her is a good ride as she needs to be delivered late, but connections know that and she’ll have a good chance if getting the gaps.
