1pt win The Real Whacker @10/1, 14:30 Kempton, Tuesday

3m Ladbrokes King George VI Chase (Grade 1) (GBB Race) (Class 1) (4yo+)

You can throw stones at most of these. Allaho’s best form is two seasons old and he goes left at his fences, Shishkin might not start and hasn’t had a prep run, Bravemansgame has regressed since his second in the Gold Cup and Frodon is too old. That leaves Hewick and THE REAL WHACKER and it’s the Brown Advisory Winner who gets my vote as he looks made for Kempton’s jumping test. Jumping is his greatest asset and he’s quickly away from his fences which will stand him in great stead. If in doubt, the young improving horse is always the betting angle and the old cliché of ‘if he were trained by so and so he would be half the price’ rings loud and true. Aged seven he has the youngest legs in the field and let’s not ignore the fact he’s the only horse to have defeated Gerri Colombe. 10/1 quotes should be taken.
