1pt win Toscanini @8/1, 0.5pt win Final Frontier @25/1, 15:05 Curragh, Sunday

The Curragh hosts the Group Two Minstrel Stakes over seven furlong today, and the ground is good-to-yielding.

Out-of-form sprinting stalwart Gordon Lord Byron is the first name off the shortlist, and the seven-year-old Sovereign Debt, though favourite for this, in good form and consistent, is also there to be shot at by a younger generation.

Adaay gets his favoured ease in the ground and arrives after a good second to Breton Rock during a storm in Newmarket.

His best form is tied in with recent July Cup winner Limato, but he’s been fairly wayward since winning a Group Two at Newbury last year.

His best form would make him a big player in this and that recent run suggests a return to it might be around the corner, but it still feels optimistic.

Just a head separated TOSCANINI and Flight Risk last time out at Curragh in Listed company, and the four-year-old Toscanini is open to the most improvement.

He’s got very solid form throughout his career, with so many placed efforts in Group company and a particular liking for Curragh.

At 8/1 he’s a very backable price.

Dick Whittington returned to form at Leopardstown recently; however it was a low-quality race and there’s been no notable market move for today.

FINAL FRONTIER is the tempting bet for Jessie Harrington, turned out quickly from the recent July Festival at Newmarket.

He’s a big price, very lightly raced and open to the most improvement given his age (four), so might be worth chancing too in a race where nothing jumps out as the class horse.
